Leader in credit card app ranking increases score to 100

After carefully reviewing publicly available information as well as app usage data we have access to, PYMNTS assigns a score to each app. This is done monthly, then we publish the Ranking of credit card application providers.

This time, the leader increases their score to 100, a mover and shaker joins the top 10 after adding eight points to their score, and the rest of the pack sees only minor changes.

The first five

Still at the top of the rankings, it is Capital One Mobile. This time the app increased its score to 100.

Keeping the second position is Mobile Hunting. He is seven points behind with a score of 93.

Right behind, and third like last time, is Bank of America Mobile Banking. This app got a score of 91.

Also retaining the position it held last time is Mobile Wells Fargo. This app is #4 with a score of 88.

Continuing the trend, Discover Mobile occupies the same place in the ranking as last time. He is ranked fifth with a score of 84.

Top 10

On the first job change since last month, American Express moved up a spot and now sits at No. 6. It has a score of 79 – two points higher than last time.

Ejected from that spot and now ranked seventh is One Bank Mobile credit. This app has a score of 78.

Next up is an app that wasn’t in the top 10 last month. PREMIER credit card joins the list at No. 8. With a score of 56, eight points higher than last time, this app is also this month’s biggest mover and shaker.

Dislodged from this place and moved up one level to the ninth east MySynchrony. He is now just three points away with a score of 53.

Only one point behind is Cards — Mobile Wallet. With a score of 52, it slipped one level and is now ranked tenth – closing out the top 10 in this month’s credit card app vendor rankings.
